WIGS
When Alice moved from costume design to hair styling, the creation of stage wigs was a natural draw. With little teaching available in the more flamboyant designs that interested her, she learned the art largely through experimentation, and with the encouragement of renowned theatre designer Astrid Janson. Thus began a long and fruitful artistic collaboration with VideoCabaret, garnering many Dora Mavor Moore Awards for excellence.
She has also collaborated with other talented designers including Brad Harley and Leida Englar of Shadowland, Angela Thomas, Mel McNeill, Robin Fisher, Julia Tribe, Gabi Caruso at Centre for Indigenous Theatre, Ange Loft at Jumblies Theatre and Simon Madore, Machine Gum Produktions.
